Midland Canal Centre is situated above Stenson Lock on the side of the Trent & Mersey Canal in a rural setting just 3 miles south of Derby. Stenson Narrowboats have a national reputation for highest quality and value and the family business is proud of its reputation for providing good value, friendly and quality service.
The marina workshops provide the complete range of marine services for narrowboat owners, from diesel engine servicing, narrowboat refits, narrowboat painting and secure marina moorings for narrowboats.
Boat hire for the Day
Stenson offers a great day out for all the family with facilities such as our narrowboat day hire for 10 on SUNRAY or a casual snack and speciality coffee from the Stenson Lock Cottage coffee shop. Spend a day walking the canal towpath or while away the hours watching colourful narrowboats passing through Stenson Lock. Come and marvel at the achievements of our 230 year old canal heritage

Stenson built narrowboats and leisure craft have earned an enviable reputation for their quality, innovation and excellent value for money. Nearly 600 narrowboats have been built for proud owners during the last 25 years and their high retentional value has been noted by leading brokers.
