LPG systems are still one of the most practical systems for providing cooking facilities on boats. Whilst diesel has in many cases replaced LPG for boilers, it is still more convenient to use LPG for cooking. Correctly installed, LPG provides no more risk than diesel or in fact solid fuel. Most accidents in the past on boats have been found to incorrect or poor installations and lack of knowledge by the boatowner. The current system of Boat Safety Examinations,training of engineers and introduction of safety regulations has reduced incidences to a very low level.
For your own peace of mind make sure that all your LPG work on your boat is carried out by a person on the GasSafe Register able to display the logo on the lefthand side of this page.
LPG Equipment
We supply equipment suitable for the marine environment, complying with the regulations appertaining to boats. New and replacement equipment, such as cookers, should be installed by a competent gas engineer and the system checked for soundness once the work is completed. Contact us for advice.
